Wexford two nighter

Hi All,

We headed to New Ross on Friday night and stayed in the car park opposite the Dunbrody Famine Ship. We ate at a lovely little authentic French bistro Et Viola in Irishtown, very friendly and very reasonable the owner was lovely and we were told if we wanted to park up over night right outside their door we would be more than welcome. They have CTV and it would be quite. Our French waitress even offered her shower in the morning should we like to use it. (Sweet)

We did the Dunbrody Famine Ship tour - see day trip reviews. Well worth it.
We then meander over to the JFK Park which is lovely (if you like trees), a great little coffee shop serving panini s, chips and nuggets, scone and good coffee according to Paul who is a coffee snob. We didn't eat (if ice-cream doesn't count) but others around did and it looked good. They also have a really nice playground for the kids. But if you like a good walk around beautiful park land then one not to be missed.

We finished up in Duncannon, did the Fort, swam in the sea (life guard on duty), well our nine year old swam and stayed at the Duncannon beach holiday park again see the reviews section.

The weather was fab and we really enjoyed the two nights away.
The joys of just heading off.

You will all be also glad to hear I got the MH washed on the way home!!!

Stumbled across Duncannon yesterday. What a little gem of a town. The blue skies helped!

We spent the last few days rambling around Waterford, Tramore, Hook head etc. We did the haunted house tour in Loftus hall. Spent a few hours on Duncannon strand. Had the nicest chips ever in the small chipper in Duncannon, yum. Drove the copper coast road again. Beautiful country. Plenty of wild camping spots along this route and it gave us plenty of ideas for the future... :-)

Driving home, we agreed that our new favourite stomping ground has changed. County Kerry has always been our favourite area for camping and for weekend trips. But now, our preference has shifted to the East Coast... 8-)
