Camping in Dublin

Hi,
We are travelling over to Ireland for the first time at the end of July, arriving in Dublin about 7.30pm so will need a pitch up fairly near there for the first night. Has anyone any suggestions please?

Camac Valley is a good site just off the M50 which runs around Dublin. Other options would be to "wild Camp" at Howth or Greystones depending which direction you are going.

There a nice wee site at Skerries Ive stayed in it a few times and there's a bus into Dublin but Camac is more convenient to the City but Skerries has a view of the sea.Must say my favourite place is Howth.

I know of the one facing the sea in Rush but not of one in Skerries. The Rush one is called North Beach.

I was sort of hoping that there was one in skerries as I love that part of the world as it's close to home but far enough away, if you know what I mean.

Thanks, we would probably prefer to wild if we can. What are Howth and Greystones like? Would there be plenty of room for our camper?

Two fantastic spots with loads of room, both handy to the Dart (train) into Dublin.

This is Howth. End of middle pier is the place to head for.

This is Greystones. I've not stayed in Greystones yet so I'm not sure where the exact parking spot it but I believe in is the car park centered in the picture.

You are right about the car park in Greystones, the spaces to the right as you enter are a lot deeper which suits motorhomes perfectly. Not far from the Dart station and a pub/restaurant as well as a chippy across the road from the carpark
