Annual French trip. Here we go

That's van back from its annual service. Everything good and ready to go. Heading off this Sunday for the always eagerly awaited French trip. We are heading this year to the East of France from Cherbourg and intending to take in the Alsace region. We are going to take in the likes off Strasbourg, Kaysersberg and Chatenois. We will gradually work back over to the West through the likes off Chablis, Orleans, Tours And Cholet. We will head out to the coast and St. Jean De Mont and from there we will gradually move up to the Brittanny region. We have no hard and fast plans after this and it will be a case of taking each day as it comes. BRING IT ON. :D

back end of June,

no plans but have a guide to the Nantes - Brest canal for a bit of cycling and a France passion membership.

Hope all of you going to France and further have a great time.

@GMAC there is a nice Aire or rather Stellplatz in Kehl which is great for visiting Strasbourg. https://goo.gl/maps/2dhWV

There is a public swimming pool down the road and a park along the Rhine. You can walk or cycle across the pedestrian bridge to the French side. There are cycle paths all the way to the centre of Strasbourg. Once you figure out where to go! It is a little confusing the first time due to the way the canals cut through Strasbourg. There is also an Aire on the French side but we found the one in Kehl to be better.

@Biffo Try again from a different computer

While that looks interesting and is probably excellent advice,...........I still have no idea what it's meant to do. Have I done something wrong in putting up my twopence worth or have I completely missed out on something ?.

Nothing wrong :)

You tried to book the ferry, that website put stuff on your computer so it remembered what you searched for, so it knew when you went back and put the price up. If you clear those little bits of info "cache & Cookies" you may get the booking for the original price that you first seen.

Right,...........I'm using an iPad so if I go into the main menu I can clear these. Sorry for the long winded approach but I really have no idea of the inner workings of these computer thingys, and will muddle on.
Thanks to you Ally and Shivster for the help :D .........

Biffo,

If you are using safari on I pad go to settings then down the list to safari then go down to ( mine is in blue writing) clear history and the one below clear cookies and data,

I usually do that once a week on all machines to keep them un cluttered

Hope you get the cheaper price :police:

To be honest this happened to me before and then I discovered I hadn't included cabins in the first attempt.

I am not suggesting you are as daft as me but could it be something like that?

Nah........I did that too a few years back, two 3* cabins were included. I find the 3* better as there not so near the engines and are quiter. I'm really gonna miss the wine, but looks like Achill will be the winner.........unless I can pull off that 300e offer later.

This was our cycle route into Strasbourg. It took us about 45 minutes but that was with three kids, one only 5, pedalling under their own steam.

Yeah we seem to be getting lots of the liquid sunshine. I was at Mosney yesterday with Harry the Mehari and one minute the sun was shining the next it was pouring from the heavens. Anyone I had. A great day with about 1500 classics there.
