Fiamma Tie Downs F65 Awning

Message from some who knows NOW

The Fiamma Tie down kit that fits in the Awning channel on a Fiamma wind out awning DOES NOT
fit the F65 awning.
There is no notice on either the box or the instructions to this effect and the 3 local accessory/caravan motorhome sales/ stores that I tried were not aware and would be happy to sell me one
I am in prelonged discussion with Fiamma as I damaged my awning trying to fit it, but it is like talking to a Brick wall dispite a couple of lenghty e-mails to them they have told me.
1. Yes it does not fit and I should have bought a different one
2.No it does not say so on the box or instructions
3.If there is any wind your should wind in the awning.
With regard to 3. I have asked them what are the Tie-downs for if not to protect the awning if it is a little windy

UPDATE

After only 18 e-mails either Fiamma are just fed up with me or they admit they are wrong.

Deal agreed instead of paying full price for new fabric £275 plus vat have agreement for a good discount to pay only £61 plus vat

Think I have a result

Head bangers over now a few happy faces

Update

Fitted new canopy day after it arrived turned out to be a simple job.

Have now done a new mod so that I can use the tiedown

Have fitted the clips designed for sliding into the awning channel directly onto the windout unit.
This was done by cutting off the lip end of the clip and drilled two holes in each. Whilst this sounds easy it turns out that the clips are made of Chrome Steel and I destroyed 6 drill bits going through it.
The holes were lined up with the Fiamma unit and drilled and as I could not get nuts behind the blind area I made a plate drilled and tapped so that I could slide it behind and bolt it up using Stainless Steel bolts
Jobs a Good un

It's great to be handy and saves one a lot of money. Well done!
