Have wildecamped near black head lighthouse, very rough ground to drive on.Also at the harbour in Ballyvaughan.
There is (or was before the storms) an Aires in Lahinch in front of the swimming pool.
Also look at the POIs

I've checked into Nangles for almost a month this summer from July 22nd. - I've never been yet but was quite impressed by reviews and comments about it when I was looking for somewhere. They have excellent sites, ll hard and FULLY serviced pitches (lots of places say fully serviced but only offer water and electricity) and there's plenty close by too.

Had booked to stay at Nagles but cancelled at the last minute and stayed in Lahinch instead approx two weeks ago - all hardstanding so make sure to pack your levellers. Wouldn't fancy being there at peak season (two toilets, two showers) for approx thirty placements. Layout is best described as a carpark with electric hook up. Water tap hanging off the wall. Bar on site but did not use. Their well publicised Wifi was not working but managed to connect to a one of the houses behind. Handy enough for walking into Lahinch (15mins). Access to rubbish disposal is via a promixty card which we weren't given. The "money lady" as she describes herself appears in a red Nissan Qashqai and vanishes almost as quickly as she arrives (dealing strictly in cash). Wouldn't be in a hurry to go back there. If we go again to Co. Clare again will definately stay at Nagles. Found some of the roads tricky in places in aCoachbuilt - bumpy, jarring and some of the worst in Ireand in places. As someone who likes to keep my overcab, mirrors and side decals intact, I would hate to be doing it in an A Class.

Even do I am from Tipp. I can't help you as I am from the far south of the County. Are you looking for a site or a wild camping spot?
