Is there definitely gas getting through. Gas ignition units usually have some form of power to make them spark but I don't know how they do it on the domestic ones, as it could be a battery or a feed from the 12v supply, if it's 12v supply is your power turned on and some juice in the leisure batteries.

When you take the front off,on the base off the fridge, small black box with wires going in and out,it clips off, takeoff the cover and inside is a small aa battery, that's the way it is on my domitec ,hope this helps

How old is your Dometic? My 1999 one has a piezo ignition that you press, get a loud click and a spark.

If its an auto fridge/freezer check the wire connections to the sparker disconnect them clean and re-connect after that you may have to go to a dealer as there is an electro-magnetic switch and ECU units involved in fridge

Are you holding the gas flame control in you have to push the flame control knob in as you press the ingniter and hold it in for around 30 sec until the flame stays on
