Thank you for the welcome to the site. I used to use a similar site in the UK before I moved over here and I found it very helpful and I suspect I will find this one the same.

Anyway by way of introduction I moved over to Ireland on 24 March 2014 and took over the ownership of Strandcamping in Doonbeg. It is a small site for Tourers in tents, caravans & motorhomes.
Before buying the campsite my wife and I used our motor home a lot and we intend to continue using (Sweaty 2) a lot more. We found the campsite by accident, we could see the potential and we are in the process of making the changes we need to make. We now have hardstandings for 17 pitches and 4 grass pitches. We now have a road on the site which is also Doonbeg's only roundabout. We are putting in 3phase electric on Friday week so all pitches will have EHUs. The Showers and Toilets block now have double glazed doors and windows throughout and more changes planned after that.

But in the main we aim to keep it simple; friendly, clean, excellent beach views, a short walk into the village with 5 good pubs and there is a small golf course nearby called Trump International.

Regards Jamie and Amanda Hunter.

Welcome Jamie and Amanda!!

It sounds like you both have been very busy! Best of luck with it, I hop it's a huge success for you both.

I'd encourage you to get involved, subscribe, and maybe even put up some advertising here on MHcraic!

You've found yourself a beautiful part of the country there in Doonbeg, we'll have to drop over and spend a night or two...

Hi Fat Controller, and noted, the forum across the water operated differently, but point noted.
Apologies to those that welcomed me and I have not said thanks.

I've had a busy week with the jazz festival here and parents over from the UK.

Does this site have Craic stickers for members?

Doonbeg is in County Clare 11km from Kilrush and the same from Kilkee. If you did google it you'd probably get lots of stories about my neighbour who bought at the same time, although Mr Trump paid a bit more than I did.
Regards Jamie

Hi Ken, I don't want to breach the terms and conditions of the forum, more than I already have, in advertising. That said I am looking to work out a deal with Motorhome Craic.
All the prices are on my website, which should be easy enough to find on google.
Regards Jamie
