hi all, looking for info on Switzerland...we are going down to cycle the Joux Plane and do some hiking round mont blanc in MH in July. Is it worth taking a few days into Switzerland in the area between Geneva and Lausanne? Is it MH friendly, is it very expensive and whats the deal with tolls?

Any personal experience or recomendations would be welcome.

Thanks

KG

We visited two years ago on our maiden voyage to Europe in a MH. On the plus side you can drive across the country for then €35 for a year's right to use the motor ways, scenery is great, and public transport time tables are what the say they are not a indicator that a bus or train will appear at some time. And now for the down side every thing from supermarket shopping, bus fares to eating out is expensive. The people are lacking in the most Irish quality craic, they do for banking and insurance what the Irish do for entertainment. Graham Norton, Terry Wogan, etc just could not come from Switzerland. We stayed at a very nice campsite on Lake Zurich http://www.fischers-fritz.ch/
Enjoy your trip

We did the Junfraujoch in 2012. It was was an absolutely brilliant holiday. Not cheap but we only stayed about seven days in Switzerland. But just so memorable.

I can give you a lot more info on what we did if you were interested, also the need for a 'vignette'.
