Technically you are supposed to inform holders of your other insurance policies ie your daily driver, classic policies etc. As not informing them can void your policy. Even though it was a no fault claim, both my other insurance companies charged a 25.00 administration fee to up date my records. 50.00 down the drain for nothing.
Paul,
You are spot on all material facts must be reported, Although quite often a way to avoid the 'admin' charge is to wait until you are about to renew, most motor policies (you would need to check your own) state
You must also tell us about the following and then list, accident, theft etc before the next renewal date when you get your renewal papers out you let them know at that time thus avoiding the extra charge. You have honoured your end of the contract.
