To be honest carosi I wouldn't stray too far from home on your first outing as you have to get to grips with how things work on the motorhome, you will probably forget something (even a few things) and especially ig things dont work. Some of the members on here spent their first night in their motorhome in their drive way.

do you want to stay on a site or do you want to wild camp?

Welcome to the Craic and congratulations on purchasing your first Motorhome

The fat controller is right Carosi.
It is more a peace of mind thing. Stay on a site near home. That way in the absolute worst case scenario you can drive home.
It is very unlikely that you will do this but if you are a long way from home a minor mishap always feels worse.

Maybe Carlingford is close to home!

You can set you location (usually your county) in your profile. This helps us provide future questions you may have with a suitable answer.

Welcome Carosi I hope you have many years of happy motoring in your new purchase. We were one of those who spent our first night in the driveway!
I was in and out all night as we thought we had everything! Let us know how you got on.
