French reviews

While I do agree with the idea of reviewing French locations (aires and maybe areas?) I would like to point out that after about 10 annual holidays in France out of the last 14 years I haven't had a bad experience really, that is, the locations have all varied, the type of holiday has varied (all family holidays so far!!!) but everywhere has been great,

In choosing our locations in our case, we have based most of our decisions on recommendations, so I would say that without hesitation if a location is positively reviewed here it will be visited!,,

So just to list a few that we have done with the Van, in order of our experiences, and the single most memorable reason for remembering?

number 5: Sarzeau (close to Arzon Mark) great cycling paths but changeable weather !!!!

Number 4 Amboise (Loire Valley) lovely campsite on the golden isle (in the middle of the river)

Number 3 Bayeaux great location for touring the north coast and the Normandy beaches!

Number 2 isle De Re, family cycling and Grandad flew into La Rochelle and spent a week too!,!

And lastly

Number 1

Palmyre near Royan, had it all for a the young family! Returned 3 years in a row!! Details as always on request!,

French Reviews

Yes, was thinking about where best to put them, this post was discussing Aires, but I think the reviews section, though sparsely populated ( and I think this was what made me think twice) is best,

I'm off now to compile the photo,s and correct locations with my large wife and family ( they tell me they're never wrong). So will have something soon,

Thanks,

Thanks for the input.

A few additional reviews for France would be great.

I understand what you are saying but we are simply saying to other members "I have been here and here is what I thought".
We are like yourself and have been traveling to France for some time but others on this forum are venturing over for the first time. A little reassurance is nice on a first trip. I know I would have welcomed some personal recommendations before my first trip.

I would live to see some of the photos of locations we have have not visited. Perhaps we will use some of your recommendations this summer.

Thanks again for offering to contribute.
