Hi all, as a few here have done festivals before, has any one been to Vfestival in England? I've never been to a festival before but, to go to a 'big 'un' is on my bucket list so my bro in law, niece and a friend are going to the aforementioned do, I'm providing the accommodation . Line up looks good and we're sharing the cost so I hope it'll be an enjoyable experience. Any advice appreciated.

It's a great lineup alright!

Never been but heard good reports about it, the only negative's I hear is, it is very commercial, which usually means an expensive arena, so you have to buy everything, no BYO. But as I say I have never been.

Best place to ask though is http://www.efestivals.co.uk/

If you do go I would love to hear your review on it.

As it's your first festival you will be blown away and absolutely love it, I would love to go back in time and experience my first one again :)

I have never been (but like Ally have done loads of Irish festivals).
You will love it. I went to my first not knowing what to expect in my late 30's and I loved it.
If you like music and can chill out it will be a brilliant experience.
I love the people I meet and I love the vibe. Enjoy and like Ally I would love to hear about your experience.

Thanks chums, that efestival site is good, thanks Ally, no drinks....? Surely does that mean I can bring them in to the camp sites but not into the arenas? I plan to bring plenty of Carlsberg, Bacardi and others in the RV and have weekend I can't remember.. !!

Depends, but yes that's usually ok. Some festivals will restrict how many you bring and put a limit on, about 24 cans. But hard to enforce for us in vans as they would need to search quite thoroughly. Although they have done in the past and is a condition of entry that they can search.

It's usually those in tents that feel the full force of the limits, nasty experience indeed, imagine getting Carlsberg removed :o

There are loads of places in a MH to hide things ........lol
i find if you put a load of cooler boxes in the front of the garage with food and stuff they don't look too hard at what is at the back of the garage unless you arrive when it is very quite and they are bored.

Always chat and ask them if they would like a cold H2O out of your fridge and smile a lot.
It works for me :-)

The traffic gets very busy entrance and exit times as all large festivals do, but stay a while and let the soap dodgers rush to the nearest motorway service station for their fix of KFC..
