Thanks to The Fat Controller for his review of the Aire at Chateau Chambord.

I wasn't aware of it and hope to make it our first stop this year.

I know he only gave it 3 stars but it is a place we have never visited and more or less on the route to cost my parents this year for Bastille celebrations. It will be a parking place and a rest from driving.

We didn't stay due to the lack of facilities for the price (hence the 3 stars), but found another small site a couple of miles away forum/index.php?mode=camping&submode=viewcamp&id=84 which was ideal for a stop over near Chambord (8/10) from which we visited the château.

I don't think there is an Aire at.Chateau Chambord, at €25 it must be a campsite, it's not listed in the "All the Aires France" 4th Edition. Anyone going to France and wants to use the Aires should purchase this book from Vicarious Books, everything you need to know about the Aires, coordinates,
Amenities plus a short review. Also a map showing locations. Campsites are different a review would certainly be very helpful for others.

Most of is have been using the All the Aires book but we are trying to get our members to show where they have stayed. There is nothing better than a personal recommendation.

It's not an aire at chambord it's just the facility to overnight park at the chateau for which they charge an excessive amount, so unlikely to appear In all the aires, I put it in that section as it was the closest fit
