Well that was a disaster then...... Forgot matches so we couldn't light the stove for a mug of tea.....started pissing rain.....no cutlery in the drawer.....no nappies for the youngest.....forgot the cereal for the kids breakfast.....luckily we were only half hour from home so we gave in and came home :D gonna have another go at it later if it stops raining!

That makes me smile we stayed in the drive the first night, we were in and out like yoyo's! It takes time, we still always forget something.
It is always part of the adventure.

LOL but at least all are easily remedied. Next time you might be able to go 45minutes from home :D After that you'll go anywhere.

Our first outing was a disaster for a different reason!

We picked up the Motorhome in Kilkenny came home with it , put a few bits and pieces into it and headed straight for Lisdoonvarna, we pulled up outside the Pharmacy ( it was closed for the night) which was near ******* super market where we were going to get some supplies when this lunatic of a man came out and f%%ked us out it and every Motorhomer in Lisdoonvarna for parking on the street. Later we found out that this p***k was one of the ****** brothers who owned the supermarket where we were going for the supplies, he is the one that drives the small truck with the Box body, having said that his Brother is a Lovely Man.
For a while we wondered did we do the right thing buying the Motorhome, Thank goodness we never met anybody like him since and it was a pity it was on our first outing.

I am after coming back and removing the Names as it might be against the rules of the site, but thinking of it still makes my blood boil.

Serious3 - I see you are from Clifden so probably a half hour drive puts you in a heavenly spot , please share the best places with us when you get it sussed.
ps we once drove to our holiday destination , got the scooter out to go exploring - no helmets or jackets. Now on the checklist , having a checklist is a good idea by the way.
