Liz finally persuaded me to book here for a week for our 20th Wedding Anniversary. Thank God it's only a week as I wouldn't want to stay any longer in this holiday dump. Hard to beat a good Motorhome holiday this will be the last package one I'll ever be on.

May not be too bad Jack, what time of the year are you going. You could always treat it as a recce for a motorhome trip.

John I'm here now. It's just a touristy area and all that goes with it.

Stop complaining Jack, there is some excellent Italian reds to be sampled.
Look for a negroamaro from the Puglia region, you'll not be disappointed.

Rent a car and get out and about

I would normally agree with you John, but Sorrento is a rob with a Car!
We had a car there two years ago and we hired it over the net with much the same price as Spain but when we went to collect it we were hit with a further €250 for full Insurance then we drove to Sorrento and was hit with €20 per 24 hr to park it and if we wanted to move to another beach that was a further €10 not to mention the toll's

Driving around here is not for me I'm afraid. The wine is nice and the weather is good.
