Some nice LHD vans out there, who has one and how long did it take for you to get used to it?

I used to have a LHD BMW M3 (the first m3's) never drove it that much as it was really for sale, but the times I did drive it I didn't find it very relaxing being on the wrong side.

Our next van will be lhd, have driven them before, soon get used to it, if foreign often then it makes sense, had lorries lhd for the continent but then the drivers can't be expected to jump out At every toll and run round.

It wouldn't put me off buying one anyway but it may be harder when it comes to re-sale

I've had one for 4years now and got used to it after about 3/4 trips, may have taken taken my wife wife somewhat longer though

, now completely converted and would prefer to change for lhd again.

LHD sounds like an option then. I seemed to make the mistake of going to far over to the right in the LHD Car going round corners and I thought it would of been the other way round.

my first 2 vans were lhd they were no problem to drive you are higher up in the van and the wing mirrors are bigger so its easier than a car and in europe its a dream to drive i have a rhd now and dont find it much better so dont let steering stop you i dont think lhd has any effect on re-sale i had no problems

LHD also opens up the option of doing a deal in mainland Europe if you want to sell or change.

All three of my vans were LHD. I (we) made the decision in the beginning to go LHD on the basis that if I was going to be driving on the right hand side of the road then I would prefer to be doing it in a LHD van. If I had an accident while away I would prefer not be in a vehicle with right hand drive.

I have never regretted going that route. The last van was ordered from new and is also LHD.

I'll probably never drive in Europe, I don't do sunshine (allergic to the sun, yeah I know) and Wifey doesn't do boats, but can persuade her to get the short crossing from Larne - Cairnryan, so most if not all of our holidaying will be Ireland, England, Scotland, Wales.

My first van was LHD and I loved it. I wanted a LHD when I changed up but was told it would cost an extra €2000 to order it in so I figured that's a lot of diesel money, so now I have a RHD. If you are not going to be on the Continent Ally, stick with the RHD.
