Depends on how far south you go, you may get something but probably not what you are looking for, if you know what I mean

The new satellite is only in position for a few weeks so its early days but from reading other sites, you should be OK in Brittany with a 50cm, maybe even as far South as the Loire. Seems Bordeaux - Dordogne is absolute limit for a 60 cm dish, depending on the weather. Hopefully, as the holiday season gets into swing and people report back it will become clearer where the reception limits lie for dish size.

I am not sure if it is any help Dave but my parents have an 80cm dish in central
France. They go out in a few weeks.

I can let you know how they get on.

I have 1 on my van Pat, but don't know yet as I haven't left left Ireland .
I know the dish is very small, as I took the cover off, it's no bigger then a dinner plate.

Some say it is the equivalent of a 56cm.
Up until now ours has always worked as far a south of France.

Thanks all, it looks like its not worth bringing the dish with me as i expect to be further south than Brittany most of the time ( i gave up making a plan as i never stick to it ) leaving Rosslare on the 19th May ,in Dinard on 21 May, plan ends there . The 53cm dish has worked fine all over France up until now , more modern improvements ,boxes dishes wi-fi things maybe i will try a book it will be a new experiance :D

Aww Dave.
I thought you were taking your dish to run footprint tests and report back to the rest of us who travel out to France later in the summer.

I am sure he will meet plenty with 53cm dishes out there Mark, and he can still report back.
You will not feel the time passing before ye go, Dave!
