we always drink the water from our tanks. Ireland, north and south, (although ROI water sounds a bit iffy from time to time), Drank it in Wales last week and happy to drink it in France.

I just make sure our tanks get an occasional run through with Puriclean.

Any way what doesn't kill you, blah blah.

Safer than some of the bottled waters which do not meet EU standards and have a shelf life!!! (probably due to the carcinogens in the plastic bottles)

Probably safer than some of the cheap wine we drink too!

Same here.

Remember when you used to get your house water (not kitchen) from the the cold water tank in the roof space? I used to drink from the taps in the bathroom also, I am sure the MH tank is a lot cleaner than the one that used to be in the roof space. Never done me any harm.

My better half always insist that We also bring drinking water from home, even though I clean the tank out about three times a year and fill it with the water from home.

Then tells me to go fill the kettle from the campsite tap.

I"ll drink from the tank, but it does taste a bit strange, so we do tend to use tap water onsite for drinking.

I found the same as you Paul, must be something to do with the type of plastic the tank is made from.

Puriclean at the start of the season, and then aquapure tabs (we've a well at home so untreated). We don't as a rule drink from the tank , but with the chaps I'd rather be safe than dealing with the side effects of an upset tummy in a confined space!

Hi Tom. I use this system. I have both types in the van, the bottle for small amounts and the 20 litre Jerry Can for filling my 50 litre tank when no fresh water is available elsewhere.
