The thing I would be concerned about with that would be when fully extended the strain on the side of the van. Love the idea of being fully electric with wind detection

Has to put terrible stress on the outer wall if the motorhome,it could compromise the seal between the roof and side wall in time. What if one of those big sea gulls like the ones in Howth landed on the outer edge of it.

Some of them are fecking huge! Not a good place to spend an evening watching Alfred Hitchcock's Birds and then go for a stroll.
Mind you spotting harbour seals each time a boat would go out provided great entertainment for my lot.
