After a horrible start to our three months in Ireland (friends husband died so we hung about near Dublin waiting for date then went home for 4 days for funeral) We are now touring anticlockwise round and we're currently in Kilowen Campsite at the bottom of the Mourne mountains. He's said he hasn't got a pitch for us after tonight as he's full so have you got some gems for us to stay safely between here and Belfast (there too if you know anywhere) We don't mind if it's a campsite or if it's wildcamping would the van be safely left while we were walking. Also I'd like to surprise my husband with a couple of days in the Isle of Man while we're so close, where could we leave the van safely while we're away (campsite etc)
Hope you can help, despite the rain (does it NEVER stop haha) we're enjoying ourselves.

Castlewellan or Tollymore forest parks are both good camp sites near you at the minute with good walks through their grounds although from Castlewellan it's only a 5 minute dander into the town for pub grub.
As for leaving the van for a few days how about shanogue house www.shanoguehouse.co.uk were I'm sure Ally would let you park up for an nominal fee.

Yeah no probs leaving the MH with us at Shanogue, we are also only 5 minutes from Belfast International Airport so if you plan on flying to IOM I am sure we could drop you off and pick you up.

Aw bless you Ally, I have to say I hadn't thought of flying there I'd only looked at foot passenger on the ferry but I'm going to look at flying now and if that's the way we go we'd love to take you up on your kind offer. Back soon :)
