We didn't get away this weekend due to Farming duties.
Anybody else not get away for any reason?

Good reasons for us to stay home .
Son came to visit for the weekend don't see them that often live other end of country
M 5 motorway near us becomes a carpark for a lot of the weekend with folks heading down to Devon and Cornwall.

Pat I grew up on a farm so I know what's involved. Farming work has to be done irrespective what the holiday is. I just wish the townies would realise the cost farming is to the lives of those who work the land for buttons.

We are not away either this week end. I was in Northern France and Belgium for 10 days and came home on Maundy Thursday night. Rather than go away Liz insisted that we have the family grandchildren etc. this could have been the first time in 38 years that we could have got away as I had no services etc but there it goes!

Well I am away on the farm, but no intention of working it, cutting and trimming trees in this heat is not fun, other maintenance chores to keep me busy as well as sitting relaxing on the beach etc

Spent the weekend removing all the weeds in the poyltunnel and replacing them with tomato and chilli plants. I know I should have cleared it months ago but I have a mild form of LFBS and it's hard to get going at times. Roll on whit weekend. :-)

Pat, still at home going crazy! Six weeks this Thursday coming and by God I am going to drive my jeep regardless how the foot is. I still can't put a trainer on it but that won't stop me as I am well used to driving in my bare feet anyway
I am pulling Millie out of her shed on the 27th as I have a discount token that gives me 20 cent off a liter of diesel and I am determined to fill her up and start getting her ready for Vantastival. :fgrin:
I am planning all of this in my head but it won't be long before I am again behind one wheel or another. :D

And I thought I had it bad, wouldn't your heart go out for FC. Isn't Life is a Beach for him sitting under a palm tree in the Spanish heat can in hand, Angela rubbing sun screen on him and his Dish is too small to receive proper tv. We don't know how lucky we are!

We went to Nagles in Doolin. Superb weather - went to Inisheer yesterday - Took the bikes on the ferry. Worked up a thirst - large bottle of bulmers on ice outside in the sun - simply heaven

Ken runs a good show - €21 per night for van +2 incl. leccy and wifi

First time in yonks we have not been in Achill for the weekend. Even the two mutts have a sour puss as we are at home. A family illness is keeping us grounded for a while. Miss the beach at keel and the walking up saddle head and further.
