I was reading that if your MH is over 3.5 tonne, your road tax is £165, under 3.5 tonne your road tax is £210. It seems a lot of Motorhomes are wrong on the V5.

This also affects the speed you can do...

Motorway Car 70 mph
Van up to 7.5 tonne 70 mph

Dual carriageway - car 70 mph
Van up to 7.5 tonne 60 mph

Single carriageway - car 60 mph unless lower shown (applies to all)
Van 50 mph

If it is over 3.5 then it should be PHG (private heavy goods), under it is PLG (private light goods)

I'm going to check mine today, cheaper road tax but a slower speed - hmmm
