Two weeks, two kids...

 ·

Okay I have two weeks with two kids 8 & 9 and we want to stay in the Emerald Isle.
August first two weeks.

Suggestions as to where to visit and what to do please?

We will have the dog too and of course the bikes on the back...

I really would like to go west from Waterford and up the west coast....I would be happy to travel back from the North straight down the motorway as the East coast is very accessible for weekends from here.....

Thanks in advance ...

You could park up in tollymore forest for Newcastle or a couple of the caravan sites in town.

If you get the weather Siobhan, Kids of that age would be happy at any beach and if there is a pool or leisure centre nearby it is a great backup if weather is not great. I don't know if you have to book sites in advance as it is years since we toured Ireland.

Lie down in a darkened room. 2 days with 2 kids is enough for me 🇧🇭

Benone campsite would be good as it has an outdoor pool area and a beautiful beach.

It's along the north coast between limavady and Coleraine before Castlerock. It's a long stretch of beautiful beach which features in all the tourist adverts. There are 3 campsites beside each other, dieghans, golden sands and benone complex. The complex is run by the council. There is A small shop chippy and even a pub close by.

Do you or the kids watch game of thrones as you can visit a lot of the sites where it's filmed when you come up north.

There is also the titanic centre in Belfast

If you do decide to go to benone.

To give this a try visit www.blokartworld.com.
A friend of mine runs this school on benone beach which you can walk to from the campsite.

A few campsites you should consider.

Greenlands Caravan park, Rosses Point Sligo - Lovely beach beside you, outstanding views, swimming pool in nearby hotel, new playground, take kids bikes.

Westport House Co Mayo

Loughshore Caravan Park Jordanstown ideal for belfast. Bus leaves gate for city centre. Big Playground beside you for kids.
