Not that I'm nosy or anything, but I'm often curious about what you lot get up to when you're not out in your motorhomes!

So here's a thread where you can tell us what you've been up to!

A bit of gardening perhaps? Painting the house? Out on the lash with the lads? Sitting in your motorhome reading old copies of MMM maybe...?

What have you been doing?

The highlight of my weekend.. Greece, the play in Cork Opera House with my mum and daughter. Really good production and well worth the trip. :D

As I wasn't away in the Motorhome I opted for something completely different. I drank Carlsberg in the house.

Seriously, son home for a couple of weeks so we had a bit of a celebration :) - usually when at home I do those things that should of been done weeks previous :-/

Julie as normal goes to work, hotels have to stay open.

We went to Midleton Saturday night, had a lovely meal at the Farm Gate , had a few drinks and a sing song at Murphy's pub near the Aire where we stayed the night.

I spent Saturday afternoon working on our oul ride-on lawn mower. With the mowing season well and truly here, our cranky old mower wasn't too happy to be brought out of her winter slumber. Every year theres something to be done to it (the joys of running old machines) and this year was no exception.

I guess you could say I got value for money from the drive-chain sprocket...

The damned thing was clicking for a while (year or two  ) but it eventually gave up completely... Surprisingly, Atkins had new parts in stock.

On Sunday, I had my carpentry hat on. My son is involved in the "F1 in schools competition and I'm very proud of him. www.f1inschools.ie His team won the regional Junior competition in Cork a few weeks ago. The national finals is on up in Dublin Castle in a few weeks. With a tiny budget, their presentation was a bit lacking compared to the other teams, so I volunteered to build them a display stand...

Here's the scale model we made from cardboard first. I'm scaling it up to MDF now... The poor camper isn't getting a look in at the moment.

We know all about F1 for schools in this house! Bryan used to do it with the kids in the last school he taught in & he used to borrow things from my school to use! Well done to your son & his team for doing so well!
On Saturday I brushed the patio & cleaned between the slabs with a wire brush thingy and Bryan built a new fence at the back of our house, of course that means I will have to paint it over Easter!
On Sunday we went out in the MH in the afternoon to Portaferry & home by Donaghadee, noticed quite a few MHs in it last night as we were going past!

Where is Lough Rynn?

Us: Usual running and racing between sport and music Saturday morning. Then headed to Ballina in the camper. Cycle in Cong on way home Sunday. Friday is too far back to remember but I'm fairly sure it wasn't all that exciting.

This weekend however, we are off to Wales!

I had a LONG and tiring weekend of lawn mowing, hedge cutting, power washing, tree cutting, etc. I've been neglecting the house & garden over the last couple of months and it was starting to show.

The closing hours of today were spent stripping down the V8 engine from the camper and getting it ready to send out to the local machine shop for some work.

I'm tired now, but completely enjoying the cold bottle of beer in my aching hand!

Back to the office tomorrow for a rest...

We have a load of people staying with us who are over for the MCCNI national rally. Was great craic last night.

Finbarr (darkvalley) was also up seeing the Giro D'Italia, great to meet him and he is pretty damn hot on the guitar.

P.S. Don't tell him that I said this. But guess who slept in on Saturday morning and missed the Giro go through Antrim? after coming all that way  shhhhh ;)

My son and the team had a great time up in Dublin castle, even got a look in on the 6 O'clock News. They came away with a nice trophy for the fastest car but they didn't win the overall prize. Ah well, there's always next year. I'm glad to have done my bit. The teacher sent me a photo of the display stand after they painted it up and put some information up on it... They missed a couple of hints I made about putting their logo on the lower light panels, but overall they didn't do too bad...

That's my lad in the back right corner - :D

We both worked over the weekend although I managed to see the bikes in Templepatrick , it was a great sight to see pity about the weather . Today John is busy in the garden , between mowing the lawns and power washing .I am keeping him on the right path as he can get distracted every time he goes into the garage .Looking forward to pier 36 tomorrow night . :*

Very few guys if the cloth will marry folk on a Sunday and even fewer will marry folk in a hotel. I would never refuse to marry anyone with a Christian ceremony.
