Never stayed in Kilbroney but I hear it is very slopey, you will deffo need ramps.

New stickers are being made soon, I have two left, I'll get one sent out to you.

Enjoy your weekend away!

9.30 yeah you will enjoy it as it's a good Park. Just remember to bring levellers with you as you will need them. Last time we were there it was quite noisy on the Saturday night. Otherwise it's a great park and great for walking etc.

You'll definitely need levellers especially the top pitches as they're very sloped
It's a great park for walking and mountain biking if your into that
Have a great weekend

You have made a great choice.

It's a great site with plenty going for it. Great walks, great mountain bike track, tennis courts, outside gym equipment, play park for kids, onsite cafe, washing machines, quiet at night as they have night time security. Each pitch has its own water tap, if you can get pitch 37 even better. 10 minute walk to the village. Showers are always spotlessly clean
Have stayed many times - enjoy.

Don"t think it"s this weekend, asked them when I booked, "was anything on", girl said no :( Happy enough tho", I"m just glad to get away and relax, I"ve been very busy at work and home and there"s always been a reason, this year, why I can"t get away (son"s exams, illness, work, etc...) 🇧🇭 Looking forward to lighting the bbq on sat. eve, hope the weather stays kind 8-)

Better that its not as the park is taken over for the day so quiet relaxation would be out of the question if it was on.

I know it's been months since this topic was first aired but since we were only ever here at peak times I have to mention this. Our friends were down there this weekend and in total there were four vans on site. Seems families don't use it at this time of year. With such a huge forest on your doorstep with brilliant trails, not to mention a couple of lovely wee pubs very near, if you walk through Fairy Glen, it's a pity to miss it when the leaves change colour. As for levelling, with an empty park to choose from, I can't imagine getting level will be too difficult. Don't you miss it.

Just back from a night in kilbroney. There were a total of 5 caravans and ourselves. Facilities were excellent, very clean. We did find that even with levellers we were still on a slant. Not overly bad but I did notice it. Hook up and water on every pitch. It cost us £20 for the night and £20 deposit, refundable when leaving, for shower block card

If you check out much after twelve, beware the wrath of the older male receptionist. apparently he was trained by the Wehrmacht!

What's the craic with Kilbroney? We passed recently and they've a new 'Max 3m' sign at the bridge to get into the park. Our motorhome is 3.1m tall and we got in ok in our old M/H which was 3.25m tall.

We were unsure if we'd make it under. We were told that they could open a gate further up if needed. I think she said that they say 3m but it's actually 4m. I have a large roofbox and kayak upright bars on. No problem. Left on the side you enter as we knew we could pass under.

I phoned on(Easter) Monday and they were booked up, someone had mentioned there was a 3m barrier and we are 3.1(so we don't clip satellite). I asked for future reference, and he said no problem they can let us in. (or by a different entrance(?).

Sorry for the thread resurrection. We were looking into Kilbroney and came across this. It's sounds like like being a bit over three meters wasn't an issue, is that still the case?

There is an alternative entrance which the staff can open for you. It does not have a height barrier. Have seen large American RVs in so should be no issue.

My earlier post #29, I wasn't sure about low bridge at reception and we went alternative gate, but we came out under bridge no problem, we are 3.1m high with satellite.
One or two pitches are a better level, just ask at reception if available.

In Kilbroney yesterday and today, only a few MHs here and heavy showers and sun.
I added a photo for the photo competition unfortunately not getting it quite right as I seem to duplicate.
Heading towards Portstewart for craic meeting on Friday.
