hotels ok but outside its a dirty hole and everyone hassles you if you go near shops etc

We had the same experience of Tunisia which was then repeated in Egypt. Should we ever go back we will not be leaving the hotel complex as I cant be bothered with the hassle.

In Tunisia I had 4 teenage girls to look after as we went through the local souk, as well as my wife and sister in law
