There's definitely no USB port on the cello tv that I have there is other types of connections on it but I don't know what they are for or if I could get an alternative lead that would work

Which one do you have, mine has the built in satellite, DVD and free view. The USB is on the bottom beside the hdmi port and power cables and not with the other bits and bobs.

Tks for that ally there is coloured ports and a small version of scart type port so I presume I need to get a cable with USB one end and one of the other types on the other end I see them on the web of your last post

The sound is the only thing that let's it down mainly due to the small size. you could fit external speakers or wire it through a phone jack lead to the vans built in speakers
Seagate is the make of external drive used to store films music ect you plug it in to the mains or inverter and then there is a USB to insert to a tv or a laptop the problem I have is there is no USB on the cello tv I have so it must be pretty old but it works perfect and sound is ok

Check it doesn't have a FM Transmitter built in, some of the Avtex's do and you can then tune it into the cab stereo or a portable radio which you can set beside you.

It doesnt, I have thought about running a cable to the cab speakers but for all the tv i watch its not worth the bother and find it ok, in a larger space such as whippy's RV it could possibly struggle more to fill the space with sound, even large screen tv's for the house have indifferent sound due to the size of the speakers and need boosted by a surround sound system.
A rechargeable sound bar may be the solution it it could be placed near the tv
it does but only works off the radio, when i changed the tv I didnt use the same cables and would need to run a cable to the speakers or to the radio and as I didnt do the mod to allow the radio to work without the ignition on direct to the speakers would be best. Its not one of the jobs high on the priority list as I have found the tv adequate for what we actually watch.
OK.
Sorry.
We got our set up to run off the leisure batteries and had a switch added to allow the surround sound to be used with TV/DVD when required.
It was done that long ago I had forgotten it wasn't always like that.
