Breakdown cover only for Motorhome in Ireland

Hi,

I am new to the site and this is my first posting. We are based in UK and have just booked our crossings to Ireland for June. Our existing standard fully comprehensive insurance covers us for accidents, fire and theft etc but not for breakdown cover. I am looking for a relatively simple roadside assistance package to get the vehicle repaired by the roadside or if it cannot be fixed to the nearest garage. Our van is over 15 years old and to extend cover on our existing breakdown cover is going to be incredibly expensive and the company want to see a full service history record.

Have any listers any recommendations please,

It would be more expensive to get cover over here than in GB, if you could even get it at all

Try ADAC - they give european wide cover for about £75 a year http://www.adac.de/mitgliedsch…fault.aspx if you ring them and ask to speak to someone in english they will oblige.
