I think Dolmen is €341, how much are Stuarts? Are the policies similar?

Would it be possible to get a Motorhomecraic group Discount from any company, something like the one we are getting from Celtic link?

I got a text from the IMCC letting me know that the insurance from Stuarts for Club members next year will be 255 euro or equivalent in sterling.

I used Adrian Flux as my current insurance provider and the additional add on recovery service appears to be grand -(hope so as i have not had to use ), but the price was about £350 with no claims discount as first timer and still in my first year.

I am hoping that this price should fall to around £250 or so this year - but the payouts due to the wide spread flooding might stop these reductions. >_<

There is no "Motorhomemoneysupermarket" or "Hymercat.com" or "Gocomparemotorhome.com" :-| :-)

Excellent Text you got Jack - are there any qualifying conditions and is "collect the heap from roadside" included?

As far as I am aware one just has to be a member of the IMCC. To join you have to be recommended by an existing member. I've been a member for years and years.

Excellent - a newbie also to these clubs as there are quite a few. :'(
The Caravan Club appears to be suited best to those in Eng/Scot/Wales - this site imo best for the emerald isle
:bandit: How much in a brown envelope for a recommendation Jack :ninja:
And whats the sign up fee?

Go on to their website www.imcc.ie and you'll get all the details. I would be happy to sign it for you. Have a look and see what you think.

Renewal through the letterbox today...........340euro with dolmen...........41e of that government levy. Have been with them for over ten years. Never looked anywhere else cause there was really no one doing camper insurance........would appreciate any recommendations,
Thankfully never needed the use of the cover.......long may it last :D .only crib I may have is if I do have a problem on the continent..........is getting the van home if it is not repairable.

My Dad got his renewal notice from Dolmen yesterday €340!
Had you a claim recently or is your motorhome insured for a lot of money? I thought the price was the same for every body

Are you sure that wasnt a Euro price as I looked at their web site earlier today and it says £255 stg

For the sake of £10 I wasnt going to bother changing but if its going to go up by over £100 then I will look around.

There are two main schemes one with dolmen/axa and the other with stuarts/aviva, they are group schemes in which you dont have a "no claims" bonus but get a set fee charge no matter what age value (within certain restrictions). They all have their pros and cons and some love them and others hate them, overall I think that more from here go with Dolmen. Look into both and chose which one you feel suits you best.

Just realised earlier today that I needed to inform my van insurance about claims on my daily insurance. Otherwise it can be null and void, I informed them of my no fault claim and also of a named driver on my multicar policy who had a claim. As the driver on my multicar policy was not named on my campervan policy it is not relevant and the no fault claim has no effect on my policy. Better keep it all above board.

Hi all

Do you guys make the most of the AXA plus discount with the dolmen insurance? not many are aware of it, Gr8 discounts available on ferries etc - worth checking out. I rang Dolmen to cross check my cover compared to others and between the discounts, having home start included as part of the normal policy and not just having only family members driving my camper - its a winner for me.

Safe Motoring :D

Where do Stuarts operate out of or has anyone got a contact no. Our insurance is up at the end of April so would be keen to price around.
