Car park near Garda Station or out on the Quay.

The quay is the place......only get there early cause as its paddys wk/ end it will fill up quickly. Water behind ......I think it's the boat club. Might get noisy at night but quitens down as there is a good Garda presence...patrol car goes round fairly often

+1 - Stayed by The Quay ourselves before when Westport House wouldn't let us (hadn't realised they'd changed their rules re no dogs during peak season).

Yeah from experience the Quay is grand it has a bit of life with restaurants/pubs etc although its a bit of a track from the main epicentre especially with a few jars on board!! 15mins walk

Have parked along the Mall/river near the Garda station several times without a prob , very handy to the watering holes & no hassle/noise

Enjoy wherever you decide to park.... Great town

I was out on the road earlier today and the number of motorhomes on the move today was remarkable! Busy camping weekend for sure.

Have a great weekend!

Its a 15min walk,up hill and down, you can park in town in the carpark near the Garda station but it closes at 6pm,i saw vans parked in there overnight.
