Good Morning All,
Given the break in the weather and having Monday off as a holiday from work - we are going to Tollymore( Now Castlewellan
) Forest Park.
Has anyone any advice with the area?
Do you book beforehand with the Warden or just show up?
Think there is Water and Electric hook ups? Any size of fitting? There was one size fitting in Portrush I couldn't marry with and thankfully next door allowed me to use their hose to fill the tanks. Think it was inch and a quarter or something - on a Blue pipehose - never found out for future use - must remember
Handy things to have with you - Midges / insect bug spray?
Fishing? - Requirement for license?
Mountain Bike runs? - Has anyone tried out the Field boards - Skateboard with air tyres for fields?
Local Chippy - any delivery services available?
Thanks Craicers - and if you are in the area - give us a shout at Hessy Hymer
Could not believe it was all booked out - And we got the last one in the courtyard - How amazing = alot of sites for holiday goers. Hope the weather holds

Castlewellan is the business for motorhomes
Confused me - but then
Got parked up - cheese slice levels were required for slope - not dramatic but better for drainage.
- and other pitches were stuffed with a happy set of awnings, dogs, motorhomes etc - but the Cote Yard gave security due to the high walls and proximity to other users was great. Good privacy but - its difficult to pin a awning into tarmac
:sorry:
Try it and we will throw you out immediately
