Just installed 2 stoves in house. Multi fuel burners. Amazing heat.
Pity I could not put one in the van.
Probably be thought of as our country cousins O-)

I have a wood burner in the house in Spain for winter time, only thing I would do differently is get one with a back boiler so I could run radiators off it.

We fitted a Mulberry Bekett stove with back boiler last year and are very happy with it. We mostly use wood and very little coal.

We have burnt turf in ours but don't have that much. We do burn bord na Mona briquettes and they are fine, ash is not a big issue! Hope that helps.

I burn whatever I get my hands on in ours. I bought some kind of wood that has been dried in a kiln and although its very expensive it's very good. £160 for a large crate.

surely naturally seasoned blocks would be the same as kiln dried, except takes longer to dry out!

Well I am trying to work out in my mid if they are the better option and although a lot more money if they are not cheaper at the end of the day. I just got them a few days ago and will make up my mind in a week or so.

We put in a Stratford Eco Boiler with back boiler last year great job and loads of heat. Only burn seasoned wood and a little coal. Very easy cleaned.
