Hi smurfinguk here.
I am an expat living in UK. Planning a visit to Ireland late spring early summer and keen to find places to stay. I have books on campsites but am interested in occasionally using alternative stopovers. Have heard of Safenights scheme but have tried to contact via website but no reply. I am wondering if scheme is still running. I am also interested in waterways card but not sure who to contact re this.
Looking forward to trawling through site for info
Happy holiday planning :)

Welcome Smurfinguk,

As regards SNI its not worth the money, having been a member for 2 years and only used it once, most of the SNI stopovers are pub car parks and the likes, which if you ask nicely will let you stay.We use the POIs on this site,or the reviews section. But i am sure you will get a lot more advice from others.

Smurfing uk you. Are very welcome to MC. If you subscribe and become a full member for £10 per year you will have access to all the stopovers and there are many on this site. The list of stopovers is worth £10 quid in itself never mind the knowledge you get from others in here.

Welcome Teresa,
To the asylum otherwise known as Motorhomecraic.com, as the guys and gals have been saying this is an all Ireland forum for motorhomers only too willing to promote their region and advise you on poi and stop overs in their area. Ask a question and I'm sure it will be answered.
Additionally become a member and avail of discounts, meets and poi's. All that join reap the benefits.

Welcome to the Craic, Smurfing !

As Taylor said hold onto your money, I used to be joined Sni too and pulled out last year. Motorhomecraic is the best Motorhome site in Ireland and the best value at 10 pounds. Waterways Ireland is also handy for wild camping near lakes and rivers.
