Just wondering if anyone else out there have a Chausson Welcome 70 Motorhome like ours? We have it going on 4 years and have yet to see another in Ireland, I have come across a good few 55's

Haven't seen any Welcome 70s here but have seen quite a few in France. Last year saw a Chausson Rally in France and there must have been about 200 Chausson Motorhomes of different types at it. Very impressive it was.

It's just I don't see any of them around anywhere and I was wondering as I had almost bought one when I saw the Adria Vision and in my opinion there was no comparison.

They are probably as rare as the Knaus which I and Mark have
I have seen a few Sun Ti's and sport Ti's but never a Welcome 70 in Ireland, I have in France.
I do be looking out for sun Ti's , I would love to up grade to one. I was in Marks, in France last year and was very impressed.

Every time I look at vans I just don't see one which comes close to the quality

I looked at a hymer around Easter which was same age and layout as my own except an a class, but to be honest I could not find a reason as to why I should as mine was of a similar quality.

I thought the quality was much superior and a much better finish and not as bland as the German ones.

There are horses for courses Jack, my brother in law bought a new adria in 2009, I think it is a 690, it has an island bed, it didnt impress me I would prefer the knaus.

I've got the one with the 2 single beds at the back and the pull down bed over the driving area. Mine is an A Class Vision. The rear bed is on top of the garage and can also be made into a very large double. We have had many vans over the years and we find this layout the best we've had. To be honest whilst it's 4 years old now with 9,300miles on it we haven't seen anything that would want to make us change. Hopefully now that I'm kind of retired we will be able to use it more.

I bought ours almost 2 years old with 11,000 miles on it. 5 years on it has over 28,000.
I understand the comments on this thread about build quality. We love our van but have considered changing a few times but having looked at several ended up sticking with what we have. I did almost go with the Adria Sonic which is the latest version of Jack's van.

25 posts later and no sign of another welcome 70, I must have a collectors item! Anybody want to swap a knaus sun ti for the opportunity to acquire a rare unique Chausson model in Ireland

I would consider one if it met the standard set by the knaus

I must say it has being very reliable, never cost us a penny except for 2 batteries, cam belt and services. It is a no nonsense middle of the road motorhome, we would love to come up a few years but are afraid we might end up with something less reliable.

That is always the problem knowing what you are buying. I'm afraid I've no desire to change unless some wealth relative dies and leaves me a fortune and that's unlikely.
