I was wondering if anyone has the Tyre Pal Monitoring System fitted to their motorhomes? Is so how are you finding it?

Pat its a system that constantly monitors the pressure in your tyres. You fit 4 wireless caps to the valves that relays the pressure to a dial in the van. I bought one 2 years ago and have never fitted it. Google TYRE PAL and you will get all the info. It seems to be a good bit of kit and I must get round to installing it.

How much did that set you back?

Waterman I can't remember but I think it was about 200 quid as it's the one for the Motorhome.

I fitted one to the Campervan Jack when I bought it. I did a good job. Then I put ArmourSeal anti puncture fluid in the tyres so had to remove it. I still have the system packed away. I guess I really should sell it.

:o Retirement must pay better than work :D I think I'll stick with the tried and tested method of kicking the tyres :-)

Now Taylor I've answered your question and put you out of your suspense. You will sleep happy tonight knowing where the money for the second collection goes!

Apparently there are valve stem caps available for motorhomers that have led indicators +- or - 3 warning on ebay . They light up if your tyre pressure drops. Reasonably priced

I always intend to but never seem to be able to get round to it. That's why I'm thinking of fitting the Tyre Pal I bought. It would be better on the wheels than in the box.

Then draw up a list which sits in the front of the van and run through it before you set off.
