With us still trying to plan our February break to sunny climes has anyone on here been to any of the following places

Mexico (not Tijuana)
Cuba
Jamaica
Caribbean islands

Anything you would recommend or warn against, as we cant make our minds up.

Went to Cuba back in 2004 and would thoroughly recommend it.
There has probably been a few changes in the meantime - Fidel died for one thing.
I heard good reports about it from my daughter who was there about two or three years back.

Swmbo is now looking at Canary Islands, Egypt and Gambia. I would need a geography degree to keep up with this

John, if your "SWMBO" is anything like mine, it's best to sit back for a while and let her decide where ye're going... If you make the call and it turns out a shite holiday, well you know the potential outcome of that one...

Very wise advice Blag you are a guy who knows what he's up to. It's much easier to point the finger than to have it pointed at you.

Beecham Powders are good for a spinning head taken with a nice large whiskey, I'm not sure which works the best but certainly both do the trick!

Still no decision, it's easier to pick a new pope than it is to get swmbo to pick a destination. The last update was Gambia but she is now looking at Mexico again but come tomorrow it will change. She has checked and our typhoid injections are still in date so the worlds our oyster

Until she changes her mind

some of the destinations require us to fly out of england as destinations are restrictive from Belfast/Dublin and I have had a thought, I might try and combine the return with a visit to the NEC caravan show if we can get away through Birmingham

It's usually the way to a lot of destinations that one flys from the mainland somewhere to fly on.
