Went to Donagheys today for some new tyres.

Have to say the service was excellent. I couldn't fault anything, and I am the fussy sort.

Well done Michael, Paddy, and the others whose names I don't know !

Having efficient polite friendly service makes it that little bit easier to get the wallet open !

Oh, and a free wash too !

I have always found them to be very friendly and very helpful. Not sure if I said this before but I when we were in France last year we need a part. So we stopped off at a Narbonne Accessories place. I wasn't sure which part was the correct one so I asked the guy could I bring it out to the van to check. (The van was right outside the door.) NON! Ok so I bought it. Back in 60seconds later to return it! And the guy was doing his nut as the system was acting up and it took ages. I was laughing my ass off.

In contrast, I was in Donagheys one day looking for a part (a very cheap item) again not sure as to which one. Says yer man "Have you the van with you". "Yes" says me. "I'll come out and take a look." I bought that cheap part and almost €100 of other bits as well.

Waterman thets the medicine to give to guys who don't cooperate. I totally agree with you and have done it myself just to annoy them. I knew in the first place it wasn't the right part. If folk don't trust you when the van is outside the door then they deserve what they get.

Dont try that in Spain as you will be stuck with it, they do not under any circumstances issue refunds, they would however take it out to the van to check, as they would not trust you with it

I don't think there is much chance of the Waterman bus making it to Spain anytime soon. But good to know all the same.

Got diesel filter, oil and filter changed a few months ago. Also fixed driver side sliding window which I couldn't shift - not long out from major tummy surgery- and they fitted two new swivel door catches. Always pleasant and helpful. Was able to stay overnight too so they could get started at opening time.
Picked up a few items too from the shop.
Great folks at Donagheys.

I thought I was bad with 40 stiches when I had a ruptured bowel, but swivel door catches! it makes having to go back in again a bit easier for the surgeon

I remember a few years ago, when we were just having first thoughts of getting a MH. We called into Donagheys for a nosey. We spotted a Hymer that would have done nicely, and we asked Gerry about it. He produced the keys and said go and take it out for a run. Unaccompanied, we could have thieved it. Took it back, and did the "I'll think about it" speech. Remembered the experience fondly often.

First time in hospital for operation, my asked about a zip, after the fifth time opening up the same spot, the zip sounded quite a good idea! :D
