Now do tell who does it remind you of? I don't think I would be a passenger in her vehicle.

No power steering, starting in a tree covered driveway, water pouring over the windscreen and first manoeuvre is to pull out onto a main road. More than enough in that list to put a lot of people off. She did great and if that was her first time driving anything that size then she did brilliantly.

If it was that one, I probably would.....

What the **** at 4.12?

I'd say she's good craic in fairness to her.

On a serious note though for a min. I have been inundated with requests from friends (mainly on FB after pics were posted) and mere acquaintances who just felt it was nothing to ask for a LOAN of my RV. Do any of you get this? I think they've some neck... They aren't rental requests now, but loans...

I'd say very few of them have a HGV licence so you have a handy excuse there. I on the other hand, do have a HGV licence. Easter would work well for me thanks.

I have had a fall out (no surprise there) with attached family (brother in law) when he was told no. I wont even let my kids (they are all adults now) have it so others have no chance. Its more down to others not having the same respect for peoples property and if they damaged it they wouldnt even let on never mind fix it.

I think most would be of the same opinion as Ken.

That's exactly it FC. There's mates of mine in a band that play the EP every year and they just expected it would be available for them to "take" with them... It'd be wrecked beyond belief....

Waterman, that has saved me on almost all occasions except two where a mate of mine has one and another mate of mines husband has too. Tbh the gall of people letting me (you) do the saving & sweating to buy these things for us and our families. I wonder how much Diesel or LPG would be reinstated into tanks and would grey & black tanks be properly sanitized....... Imagine. :fgrin:

I barely let my other half drive, I did pull over at a legal parking bay on the M9 and let him drive to the exit - but at a push.
I never let anyone drive! I am such a bad passenger.
I do allow him to occasionally drive it to the shops but only if his is out of action and I am not with him.
I am awful but I actually near panic attack when a passenger.
My mother is a brutal driver.

We are having a meet there in February, pity you are not around he said he can do RV's no problem, I disappointed him by telling him ours is NOT that big. 8-)

He is a really really top man Shivster!

Not many gentlemen left but he's one, wife Rosaline and son Alan (who's a mechanic on the WRC tour for ford) are all lovely people. Great site too fastidiously maintained. One thing though.... Don't forget anything and bring enough Grog, you're a long way from anywhere! Don't miss out on the fire down the road in The Coachhouse Inn either - a gem with a cold stout and a hot whiskey!

Raging I can't be there. Will defo be going back. (***not least because my bloody awning is there! )

Have lent mine out on numerous occasions to my mates who drive lorries, also have a SWB Auto
Mercedes Conversion which I love people to borrow and come along with us to experience the lifestyle
Am actually looking to sell both at the moment to change, the MERC is an ideal starter van and I love it
More than my Burstner. To let people experience our lifestyle and to know that you mite start them on the
Road to their own is a good thing as my Uncle did in 1975 Glendale on a Bedford lent my Father it stuck in
my head and still does waking up while on the move at back of Van when my father was driving those were the days the Feds and Garda wouldn't have blinked an eye lol
