Hi everyone,
My partner and I are Australians traveling through Ireland in a camper for 3 months, picked a nice time to do it to HA! I'm sure we will still have a wonderful time even if we freeze. If you have any suggestions of what we should not miss while on the road please let us know. (Not even sure this is where to post the hello.)
Thanks
Bridget

Hi Taylor,
We have been house sitting for 3 weeks in Co.Kildare so we have been spoilt with royalties. We will be back on the road tomorrow, I believe we will head south along the coast then make our way to the ring of kerry and then keep traveling north towards Galway. Not sure of our plans from there!
Fingers crossed the wind dies down, don't want to be blown off the road :P
Surprisingly I am not of Irish decent, well as far as I can go back anyway. Although my name comes from my great grand mother so theres some Irish hiding somewhere down the line. :D

Kildare heading south nice one, do you intend to go down the coast road or the M9 as far as Waterford, if so then stop off in Kilkenny for sure and check out the castle, parking just up the road. Great places to eat too in Kilkenny!
The a stop in Dungarvan again if you want to wild camp there are a few options Dungarvan at the lookout and also in Ardmore a lovely little village on the Cork side coastal!

Cork city and of course Kinsale or Blarney if you want to kiss the blarney stone worth a stop off, before heading into the Kingdom of Kerry.
Hope you enjoy!

That sounds great, yes Kilkenny is a set destination. Thanks for the suggestions we will have to have a look at the Blarney stone, and stop at the other places you mentioned. :D

Welcome Bridget,
Enjoy your trip, keep us posted of your plans as craicers in that area are always keen to offer advice, assistance and might even offer to show the local drinking amenities.
