It appears to be run by the same people that run Beech Grove Caravan and Camping park Fossa, Killarney, Its the same phone number anyway. Have they seen the light and realise that there is an opening for basic over night parking for Motorhomes? Only problem they are charging the same price as the caravan park in low season with little or no facilities. If they get there price right they could be on to a winner if it is not too far out side Town.

Ross castle car park is the only place I'd stay in Killarney. It's a popular spot for unofficial motorhome parking. Its about 3km from Killarney town centre so bring yer bikes.

I've also seen motorhomes parked late at night in the Tesco Carpark on the Eastern approach to Killarney town. I don't know the situation with permission here so you'd want to seek approval from management before doing this at the very least (make sure you have a big trolley full of shopping in front of you while asking... ;-)

We like Killarney and we go there quite often.

I've sent several emails to the Killarney town council and Kerry County Council asking for a list of suitable low cost parking areas for motorhome parking in the Killarney area, but the only reply I've had, is a brief one liner saying that they'd "forward my request to the relevant department"... Needless to say I haven't heard anything more...

I know the Motorhome Association have been in touch with the Kerry CoCo also and they've not had much success either.

The campsite owners in Killarney town must be very influential with the town & county committee's.

We have always used campsites in Killarney for night parking.

If it is day time parking you want you could try the carpark of a furniture shop opposite Supervalu on the bypass. It is very close to the roundabout. We asked the staff and had no problem.

White villa farm is a nice campsite but I don't think it will be open at this time of year. We have also stayed at white bridge but didn't think it was as nice.

We stayed last summer at Ross Castle Car park, always few campers there. There is parking across from the cathedral, near the playground, but you need to be there early, as spaces fill up quickly, its near town and very handy.
