X-box from the 70's...

While tidying up a corner of the shed yesterday, I discovered a box of old stuff. Toys, comics, dandy annuals etc. But at the bottom of the box I found an old binatone gaming console. This was cutting edge back in the day! My brothers and I had a load of fun with it when we were kids.

I showed it to my son who is a huge xbox fan but when I explained what it did, well, he wasn't all that impressed.

Next job is to see if it works!

This could be a lot of fun over the christmas period...

I had one very similar to that and I think it's still in my mums roof space, and my kids burst out laughing when I explained what way it worked and what it did when we talked about the toys of our youth.

Had one similar myself, oh the hours spent following the pink dot going diagonally across the screen and trying to shoot it. Mine also had Motorbike bit, you raced along three lines and tried to jump buses. Think it was made by grandstand.

a Few weeks ago at the Saturday morning Car Boot Sale in Antrim a guy was looking for £35 for an old Atari one. He also had an old Amstrad PC Computer and printer and was looking £150 for it. I threw mine out when I was moving in June. Almost made me sick.

Reading this makes me feel OLD up in my loft is a Commadore 64 with a whole box full of games not bought for me but for my kids. Only takes about 10 minutes to download each cassette but when it came out you could get one for love or money for Christmas.

My folks did a great job to provide us with nice things at Christmas but I was part of a big family so getting an expensive present like a computer for Christmas was only a dream!

My friends who were of smaller families enjoyed the world of commodore 64's and spectrum ZX and the like!
