Hi All

Still looking around for a first MH, looked at a few now but some were literally rotten around the edges despite being 06 models.
Still not decided on a layout for 2A +2C maybe rear bunks or U lounge hard to decide but fixed beds are the lazy route and may have advantages with storage.
I'd like to be able to use it year round not just summer trips to France and Spain but all around Ireland as well.
I'll let ye all know what I decide on when I get it!

Hi Bounder,

what part of the country are you in and we will direct you to where you might find the ideal MH?

Ah well I know there is a place in Midleton and also in Limerick - I think it is like buying a house you think you know what you want until you see them all. There are three of us with a friend for my nine year old so I thought a small compact type but when I went and really looked (at a dealers) I wasn't sure. I then went with a six birth not because we need it to be that big but if the girls go to bed we wanted to be able to sit up and not have to make a racket when it was time for us to go to bed.

Suggest you go to a dealer even if you do not buy from them we learnt so much from them - what to check what to look for etc.

I hope you get something and when you do you get years of fun and memories from it's use.

We have "Millie" our camper since August and love her and have had great weekends away with "her" since we got it...

The guys in here are amazing like having your own technician and mechanic on board.

I'd really prefer an older 'van but good ones seem to be very scarce.
My budget is 15k max.
I like the old pre JTD Ducato/Pug/Citroen for reasons of mechanical simplicity but they seem to be sought after and not very many come to the market in the layout I think I need.
I have looked at an older Hymer which had been repainted (roughly) and had the habitation front window broken and roughly repaired.
06 Rollerteam Autoroller 7 I looked at today had a rotten floor all along the rear left.

I'm not stuck to <3500kg as I have a C license so a bigger 'van would suit as well.
