if you are going via galway theres a few that spring to mind,

1) rear of ellie mc guides restaurant in ballindine (on right as you come into village from claremorris side)\

2) just as you come into claregalway pub on the left terry brennans, car park that lorrys use on a regular basis, might be traffic noise,

3) back of mother hubbards in kilcolgan village about 12 miles south of galway on main limerick road

hope this helps

prob 6 of 1 and half dozen but id go maghera to omagh, beleek bundoran (don't stop here :bandit: :bandit: ) sligo galway and down the west coast,

the only reason i suggest that route is that I travelled that way in the past and I'm kinda a creature of habit, but you would have better roads going via dublin on the motorways

hope you enjoy the rally, any group B's??

We have stayed overnight a couple of times at the red cow Luas car park in Dublin without any problems, I think it is 4 euro for 24 hr. You will be passing it.

Also the Apple Farm in Cahir is near the Motorway.

Hi Maurice just copied this extract fom Website "The rally will follow a similar pattern to last year with classic stages like Caragh Lake and Ballaghbeama Gap set to run alongside the all-time favourite Moll’s Gap – the only stage that has been used in every Killarney Historic Rally since its inception in 1996."
Accidentally did Ballaghbema Gap a few years ago in my tag axel and was never as glad to see a main road in a long time but was worth the effort.Do you know much about any of the stages take it The Molls Gap stage runs the same way as in Rally of the Lakes ? Trying to do a bit of forward planning if you want to pm your mob num will phone u if suits Ta Trying to talk my mate into taking his RS FOCUS MK 2 down so well have other transport than just MOTORHOME maybe get a run over the Gap in it lol ta Barry

Maurice
i Have parked up the gap for the last couple of years for the rally of the lakes over the road towards sneem, i hope to be there again Friday night as that will allow me to go the stage 2 for the second run , going off the weather forecast it looks like hot water bottles and hot whiskey

note to self check the amount of gas in the camper :-)

no worries barry, it was great to catch up, will be looking forward to the lakes in may hopefully they will run the healy pass (51.721117,-9.756495) punch them in to google maps if you tought that there was some view from the Gap this spot is better again, you might have to cut a metre or two of the back of your MH to round some of the hairpins :-) :D

Have done Healy's Pass on the Supermoto left SWMBO at the Beach one A'noon
Had a grin bigger than a Chesire Cat when I got to the Top,did Ballaghbema Gap
In the Tag met a French m'homer coming down it waving his arms at me telling me
To turn round but I couldn't so done the sensible thing (not)and drove on had a sweat
On for a while but made it thru and relaxed when I got to the top of it different facial
Expression that time lol Thnx Again see you at the Lakes (Maybe Ally will be allowed to
Go with the Boys for that one lol).
