Just wondering if Motorhome Craic members can attend rally or is it confined to ICCC only?

This is not a "craic" meet, the mcc are Motor Caravan Club NI branch however you would be welcome as a guest.

Made a quick phone call to a club officer and has been informed guests are not allowed unless the join the club on arrival, also space is limited in the Armstrong school and will be at a premium that week-end. My apologizes for the misleading imformation earlier in the topic.

Unfortunately its the same for us in the Iccc, you have to be a member to attend but can join on arrival. Its a great weekend and we still have space available in the rugby club.

We have parked overnight at the Rugby Club on a number of occasions when socialising in Armagh without any problems. We have also parked when another club has been using the premises. My point is the car park is available and can be used as a stopover without payment if one is not using any facilities. I will probably be pulled up on this but FWIW that is my take on the situation .

Fair point Andy.
A club making use of a location which has an open policy like that probably doesn't have exclusive rights on the rally dates.
That would be an excellent way for non members to see a rally before making the move to join.

Nice one.

My point precisely, I am not picking on the iccc to do them out of revenue but would also apply to any m'h club using the car park. In truth they would only have permission to collect of their own members

I understand.
I didn't think anyone was being picked on Andy.
It is a good point which I had never thought of before.

I have checked with committee members from the Armagh Rugby Club, who have told me that their grounds are strictly private. You need permission from the Rugby Club Committee to use it for parking overnight. This weekend their grounds are being hired by the ICCC and only their members are allowed to attend. New members are welcome but must be prepared to joint the ICCC on arrival, where members of the Northern Branch would provide a form for them. Hopefully this will clear any grey areas for this weekend. :D :D :D

This is on the craic map as an over night stop, if you are supposed to ask permission from the committee then there will be no chance of using it on the spur of the moment as they will not be there 7days a week

i think it is a courtesy if someone is there to let them know you intend to stay.

as with all things in life there are times when things have to change a bit, for example if a hotel usually lets vans stay over but they have a big wedding or similar on then on that occasion it would be probable there would be no room to overnight or if the facility was fully booked.
in this instance the rugby club has been booked for a private event so no room available.
its only a weekend or two over a year
