Map Up date for Alpine IVA-D106R

Anyone know where I could get map updates for an Alpine IVA-D106R Mobile Media Station. It's the pop out unit with all the gizmos on it. It's 4 years old and I would like to update the maps on it.

FC would the maps for a NVE-M300 be suitable? Have had a look at the Alpine site but it's a bit confusing for a novice like me.

From what I can read on the site the unit you have in standard form only plays dvd's the navigation is done through an additional unit which will be buried in the dash somewhere and is connected to the main unit, it's this that has to be updated. The M300 uses the navteq maps, is this what you have (should say somewhere on the screen)

It's a bit similar to the system both mark and I have in our vans, the jvc headunit plays dvd's but to control and play an iPod you had to add an additional unit. If you bought the alpine with the van to include the navigation then you probably are not going to be aware of how it's done only that it works.

FC had a look at it but unfortunately can only download via Windows Operating System as I understand it.

Yep FC you've got it in one. That's what I have also,have phone, facility installed and can play my iPhone through it CDs and DVDs too. I would like to get it updated as it was noticeable in France last year.

i have a built in head unit in the van and pogono was able to sort mine for me.
