Winter :o

Motorhomecraic has slowed down like it has done the last two years at this time, so keep posting :) Don't worry January is just around the corner and Craic will spring back into life again, it'll not be long until we are all thinking of sunshine and sitting under our awnings once again :)

That thought will keep us going throughout the winter months.

I was just wondering what others do over the winter months, such as day trips or short over nights trips. What about snow, do you risk driving in snow to get to those scenic places!

We carry on, rain hail snow or shine :)

Usually do shorter trips and usually meet up with some craic'ers most weekend's somewhere. Do a bit of "van hopping" not to be confused with "swinging" - not enough room in one van usually so we hop in and out of each others, usually with a few beverages in hand :)

We try to use our van all year.
This year has been different as we have sold and moved out of our house and are still waiting for our new house. Living in a temporary address and having the motorhome stored elsewhere has made it more difficult.

Motorhome has been neglected somewhat.

I am not a big fan of driving in the snow but we did venture out in it last year to attend the MCCNI dinner. It was fine.

Love to drive in the snow and while army helicopters were out feeding livestock in the Sperrins, i made it to the Shepherds Rest and had a great weekend. As long as there is ehu (because I have no heating) and the wages are there I try to get out. Being a seasonal worker, a sub teacher, I find that I can only get away after I have definite days and income guaranteed, more so than during the summer when I have to make funds last.

I'll do what I can to post more regular updates on my oul' rebuild thread. I've been very bad lately and don't tend to take as many photos as I should. Summer has been very busy for me with work and other domestic projects but now that the winter is coming I have an excuse to get back out to the workshop and ramp up the effort on the "winter project" :D

Engine out this weekend! (Can't wait!!!)

That reminds me, I need to collect the engine hoist from my father-in-law on the way home from work.

But I am sitting in the sunshine ( well earlier on I was, it's dark now), but when I get back home I use it for days out and the occasional overnights.

Sorry must try harder your right that was meant for the croc thread - blush.
By the way I can't wait for the weather to pick up again!
This week I have seen loads of motor homes out and about probably because the kids are off.

Shiv.
