Just looking for a little advice. Subscribed this week to motorhoming craic and thinking of heading away tomorrow night. Is it ok to stay at Ballintoy overnight or do you have to be a
MCCNI member??

It's one of many places to stay where you neither pay or have to be a member of anything. There are a few on here who stay there regularly.

julieann if you are staying at mc ginns pub in ballintoy you have to be a member of mccni. or buy plenty of drink.or you can stay at the harbour free.

Either place is excellent. We had a lovely meal in the Pub across the street as the one where you can park in doesn't do food. You will enjoy either fantastic places.

Re Ballintoy; We highly recommend the Red Door Bistro on the road down to the harbour for the best Ulster fry for miles. 2 x big fries & unlimited tea for under £10 in a wee cottage restaurant with an open fire. There is room to park the van right outside it. The owner is very friendly & also has a motorhome. They also do lunches. Cracker feed! On the way down past the church on the right is a farmer who sells lovely hen duck & big geese eggs. Try those, one goose egg made us a huge omelette (well worth £1)
Here is 2 visits to Ballintoy, one stormy & one calm, it is lovely in any weather.
John & Emily :D

I went to Ballintoy and it was completely closed due to filming - Throne of Crowns I think.
