I am back !!!

just back from 2390 miles round france
motorhome nirvana
4 weeks of not wondering if i can park there or stopover
4 weeks of cheap or free aires
4 weeks of cheap acsi campsites with four star facilities
4 weeks of cheap wine hic
4 weeks of meeting people from all motorhome backgrounds enjoying their craft
did i already mention cheap wine?
4 weeks of people being kind to motorhomers

Sounds like heaven, I am dead jealous! Welcome back can you share more we are thinking of going to France for two weeks next April around Easter time! We only got our camper late this summer and although we have done some weekends around Ireland we really hope to head further afield.

france is so simple to motorhome in

aires are well signposted and easy to find
get an aires book and pick which ones you want to use
acsi is great value as long as its not july or august
french people are very motor home aware
traders are very much motor home aware

june or sept? i will tell you next year as only been in sept so far lol

if you want the weather in sept head south
we travelled along med coast and temps were in the thirties

do not worry about anything, either yourself or the french or other motorhomers will assist and give advice
eg just ask where they have been or recomend etc and they will tell you, show you on the map and tell you best aires/sites or attractions in area

Welcome back Bob,sounds like you had a great time in France and I would agree with all replies,France is so motorhome friendly you don't.really tour you meander enjoying the country (assuming u don't use toll roads).Hopefully will be coming up from Spain in May next year on way home.
