Or you could urinate on the gas container and then check that would save boiling the kettle :fgrin:

I think it would probably be better to boil the kettle. Would fancy eating burgers cooked on the gas after Stur8tys suggestion.

I watched a youtube video a while back showing a guy [American] filling the wee small cylinders from an almost empty normal van size cylinder. He had to warm the doner cylinder & then gravity seemed to do the rest. Nutter!! Look very dangerous. I'll not post the link just in case

Tried the method in the video tonight, works a treat :)

Do not use very hot water, warm water is better and gives you a better reading/feeling.

I know that this probably works as the gas chills the water but I dont fancy having to disconnect the bottle after all take the bottle out - how can I boil the kettle to see what gas is left!

Pedantic git

1. Boil Kettle
2. Remove gas cylinder
3. Pour what is now warm water over the bottle :P

Now dont start or I might have to get my associates to join in  ;-)

All I do is check if cooker lights, if not change to the full one I carry as spare.

until I forget or use it all and then let the p**s taking begin
