On the road out to Cobh there is a T on the road, I think it is 4km if you turn left and 8 or9 if you turn right. Turn right as the Aire is at this side of Town, we went the other way and the road was very narrow and we had to negotiate a very sharp turn in the Town.

That's a very good point Pat...

I wonder which way would a satnav direct you to the Cobh MH parking area? Google maps choses to follow the route along the river AFTER crossing the bridge you refer to. But when you look at the map here, there's an alternative road going straight across the island... A satnav could potentially take you along this road. I would recommend the route marked on the MAP. The alternative route may be a little shorter, but could potentially take you right through the narrow streets of Cobh... :-|

The aire is signposted from Belvelly bridge (right turn) and is also signed as you come close to the town (right turn). Signs are the universal camper van picture on a blue background, cant miss them. The aire is in a great location right on the river and a short walk to the town centre.
